STUNNING SCENIC DRIVES FROM BONN

Route 1 -    Driving along the Middle Rhine Valley

Let the family get settled into the luxurious cabin of the Porsche Macan and set off south on an amazing scenic drive through the Middle Rhine Valley. The drive is filled with fairytale castles from the Middle Ages and beautiful vistas of the River, no wonder this route is a World Heritage Site! When you reach Koblenz stop at the Deutsches Eck, the spot where the Mosel River meets the Rhine River and take the cable car for panoramic views. Wander around and see the whimsical sculptures and lovely fountains scattered throughout the city. Back in your car, head to Bingen.

On the way you can stop at Burg Reichenstein, a 12th century castle which has a working drawbridge. Then see Burg Sooneck a 13th century castle that was besieged and rebuilt many times. Stop for a tour of a winery set amongst the steep hills. We can meet you in Bingen or Frankfurt to collect your car.

Route 2 -    Along the Mosel

The next fabulous trip takes you along the Mosel River, smaller than the Rhine but equally as picturesque with Medieval towns and huge castles looming out of the mists. Collect your BMW M5 in Bonn and head south. Your first stop is the charming town of Cochem, where legend, folklore and a rich web of history is woven into every street. Wander around and visit the Schloss Reichsburg, which dominates the skyline. Take a tour on a small street train and then enjoy some wine tasting.

Back in your luxurious BMW, head for Bernkastel-Kues, an hour south. Relax in the magnificent plaza surrounded by ancient colourful buildings. This town is known for its huge wine festival which takes place in September. Plan to be there!
