WHAT TO DO WITH OUR CARS IN AUSTRIA

Leaving Salzburg and heading South towards the Austrian/Italian border, you will come to Villach, one of the most beautiful parts of Austria. Your stylish rental car, the BMW X5 or the Porsche Panamera will get you there in a leisurely drive in absolute comfort.

Route 1 – From Salzburg to Werfen

Collect your rental BMW X5 In Salzburg and don't leave before visiting the famous home of Wolfgang Mozart in Makartplatz 8. You can also cruise over to the Salzburg Residenz, or state apartments which date back to the 12th century. Then leave town and head south to Werfen, a short scenic drive of under an hour. Here you will find the incredible World of the Ice Giants, Eisriesenwelt. This massive network of caves covers over 30000 square metres and extends for 45 km. Take a guided tour and see the Great Ice Wall, and the huge Hymir Hall filled with astounding ice formations.

Then see the Eistor, a 1,775m high sheer wall of ice. Get back into the sun and drive to Abtenau, a picture-postcard little market town where you can relax and soak up the scenery. Route 2 – Salzburg to Villach
