Route 1 – Basel to Berne and Lausanne

Set off in your BMW X5 south on a scenic drive through the Alpine landscape of Switzerland. Head for Bern, a beautiful city on the River Aare. The Old Town is listed on the Unesco World Heritage List. It features 4 miles of arcaded walkways decorated with magnificent fountains and old clock-towers. Stroll around the Berne Historical Museum and have lunch at the famous Altes Tramdepot, located near to Bern’s BarenPark.

Back in your car, head for Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva. Explore the Gothic Cathedral and then head to the port of Ouchy where you can relax at a café and enjoy the views of the Lake and the Alps.  Art lovers must see the Mudac, a museum of design and contemporary applied arts. Route 2 - Basel to Munich
