FOLLOW IN NAPOLEON'S FOOTSTEPS

Route 1 - Driving the Route Napoleon up to Grenoble

In March 1815, Napoleon was about to create history in a week long 325km journey. Step into your prestigious Ferrari 488 Spider and follow in his footsteps. The route is marked with brown eagles and starts in Cannes. Head to Grasse, a lovely town of lavender perfumes and charming streets filled with fountains. Stop at St-Vallier-de-Thiey, relax with a picnic basket and soak up the magnificent views over the valley. Pass the Château de Brondet where Napoleon and his men spent  the night. Enjoy lunch in the picturesque Castellane, then climb to the top of the Notre Dame du Roc. Drive on to Barrême where the troops negotiated a treacherous mountain trail through the barren Pré-Alpes de Digne. Explore the beautiful Château Malijai and stop at Sisteron to see the Citadel Museum. Head to Grenoble, ponder upon all you have seen over dinner at the Auberge Napoléon Restaurant.

Route 2 -  A day trip to the Gorges du Verdon 

Combine your love for nature and history as you travel the Napoleon Route to explore the stunning Verdon Gorge. The whole family will fit comfortably into your posh Porsche Cayenne. Follow the Napoleon Road to Moustiers Sainte Marie, a charming Provençal village, world renowned for its ceramic work. Drive through the beautiful lavender fields of the Valensole Plateau, stop in the village of Quinson to visit the largest museum in Europe dedicated to prehistoric times. The route circles the magnificent Gorges Du Verdon, one of Europe's most stunning deep river canyons, 25km long and up to 700m deep. The brave can rent a kayak and travel along the river under towering cliffs on either side. Back in your car, stop at Tourtour, the Village in the Sky and spend the night at the exclusive La Bastide de Tourtour Hôtel & Spa. We can collect your car here or meet you back in Cannes.
