TWO GREAT ROAD TRIPS FROM EINDHOVEN

Route 1 -Day trip from Eindhoven to Leiden    

Drive out of Eindhoven in your classy Mercedes V Class and enjoy a day trip to Leiden. Head for Groningen, a vibrant city with an iconic Church Tower. Stroll around the Grote Markt and sample some of the homemade treats. Drive to Bourtange, a star-shaped village. It has a quaint gift shop where you can buy archaeological artefacts as souvenirs. Stop in Lage Vuursche, take a walk in the woods and enjoy some traditional poffertjes.

Then continue to Leiden, the birthplace of Rembrandt. This charming city has a beautiful Old Centre and many canals. Explore the National Museums and relax in the magnificent Van der Werff Park. Spend the night at the chic Boutique Huys van Leyden. This 17th century red brick building sits on a canal and features stunning chandeliers and oil paintings. We will collect your car from here.

Route 2 - Explore the Limburg Countryside: From Eindhoven to Maastricht

The Limburg countryside is dotted with charming villages, farms, ancient churches and fairytale castles. It is also known for world famous beer!   Set off in your magnificent BMW 7 Series and head for Geleen, it is known for some of the oldest prehistoric farm remains. See the ruins of Jansgeleen Castle. Drive on to Heerlen where you can do some shopping and enjoy a beer at the Café Hey Heële.

Then explore Kerkrade, it has a 900 year old abbey with impressive views from the gardens. Take a guided tour to learn all about the Monks of Rolduc. Continue to Sittard, one of the oldest cities in the region with lovely historical buildings. Arriving in Maastricht you will be delighted by the rich culture and narrow cobble stone streets. No wonder it is called the most beautiful city in the Netherlands!
