Route 1 – Drive to the exclusive Cap Ferrat

Join the world's rich and famous when you cruise around the exclusive Cap Ferrat, located about half an hour’s drove from Nice. It was once the domain of King Leopold II of Belgium. This region offers some of the world’s most expensive villas. Cruise past the Villa La Mauresque, bought by the famous English writer novelist Somerset Maugham in 1928. He lived in the Villa until his death in 1965. Look out for the Villa Maryland, owned by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft.

Stop your car at a viewpoint and be awed by the breathtaking views over the coastline and ocean. This sun-filled destination offers tourist trails along the shore where you can take a stroll.
